Basic Seitan Recipe

Basic Seitan mix

  • 1 Cup Suma Vital Wheat Gluten
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast Flakes (optional)
  • 1 Cup Vegetable Stock
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce/Tamari
  • 1 tbsp Tahini

Basic Seitan Recipe Directions

In a jug, combine the stock, tahini and soy sauce/tamari, until smooth.

In a bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients together and then pour in the stock mix. Combine well. This will thicken up and expand a little quite quickly. Leave to sit for 5 minutes.

Use as directed for your recipe.
