There has been a recent controversial issue concerning an investment in Oatly who produces a range of Oat based drinks and other products. It has been reported that Blackstone Inc has invested $200 million in Oatly. It has also been reported that Blackstone has invested in other companies or has links to those that are involved in the deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. There is also concerns mentioned of the Blackstone CEO political links.

We have included a couple of links below for some background information, from both sides of this issue.

Daily Bread is concerned about this issue. We are presently not buying any more Oatly products. We have just what's left on our shelves from previous purchases.

We would like customers to give us feedback on this issue so do please contact us via email with your opinion. In the meantime, we have started purchasing another brand that has been selling vegan drink products for many years, The Bridge.

The Bridge produces several oat-based drinks - Oat milk, Calcium enriched, and Barista. They are also on offer at the moment from our supplier at a good price. Please try these and lets us know what you think or if you have other brands that you like we can look at.
